We love to meet someone with:
- Previous experience of rent review and service charge processes including setting, monitoring and reviewing.
- Solid knowledge and hand on practical experience of legislation, regulations and standards relating to rent and service charges within the Housing sector.
- An understanding of rent compliance
- Experience and knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework of rent and service charge setting.
- Forward thinking with excellent organisational skills
- Experience of reporting on a suite of Housing Services KPIs on a regular basis, and interpreting management information to outline key trends and risks.
- In-depth knowledge of the requirements of delivering a compliant, effective housing service to residents with support needs.
What will you be doing?
- The main purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive and proactive customer focused housing service specifically on rent and service charges. The Rent and Service Charges Officer is responsible for carrying out Annual Service Charge Reviews on all supported living schemes and residential property costs and subsequently ensuring that the rent reviews are implemented as near to the review dates as possible.
- To play a key role in assisting the Head of Housing Services in planning, formulating and reviewing the accommodation charges in residential care properties.
- It is also very important for the successful person to be able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as our Care & Support teams, Asset Management team and Finance team.
- To work within allocated area of responsibility and as part of the team to lead on rent modelling and setting new rents and service charges within current services, new developments and de-registrations and answer questions and queries that might arise.
This is Home-Based role but travel is required to visit geographical region and attend meetings as required in our Emerson's Green Office in Bristol.
