The City Law School is the first in London and the only in the University of London to educate students and practitioners at all stages of legal education. It has a professional education pedigree that dates back over 100 years. The School has made significant advances in both research and education and seeks to build upon that success to become one of the UK’s leading law schools as it takes advantage of the new regulatory landscape for legal education.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the two Heads of Departments (HoDs) ensuring the smooth running of their departments. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for academic colleagues, external visitors, and the wider University. The successful candidate will be required to organise departmental events and assist with the wider School events where required. Other responsibilities the successful candidate will perform include assisting Human Resources and the HoD with recruitment, undertaking the purchasing requirements for the departments and assisting with the reconciliation of budget records. Person Specification
We are looking for a team player that is ‘customer-centred’ and has experience of general office administration. You will need to have working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You will need to be able to communicate with all levels of staff in the University and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent time-keeping, interpersonal communication skills and organisational skills are required to be successful in this post. You should be able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision but also co-operatively within the team.
